Bushnell Binoculars
Bushnell binoculars are made by Bushnell Outdoor Products, a United States company, concentrating on optics and imaging. It was founded by David P. Bushnell in 1948 during the time when the Allies occupied Japan. Headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, its products are sold all over the world. At that time Mr. Bushnell started his company, binoculars were mainly a luxury item. Now Bushnell Company offers a wide variety of binoculars, designed for a variety of uses from bird watching to military surveillance. Bushnell’s Browning Sports Optics binoculars were awarded the “Best Buy” by Outdoor Life magazine in 2005, and the Legends model, in 2006. Bushnell binoculars are known for their quality, durability, and range of choices. Use them for anything from bird watching to sports watching or just enjoying the great outdoors!
Models are designed with different optical and mechanical designs, various optical parameters, a variety of coatings, and for different applications. Also known as field glasses, one common characteristic of binoculars is that they are composed of two identically mounted, side-by-side telescopes that allow the viewer to use both eyes when viewing distant objects. Although there are larger types as well, most are sized for use with both hands.
